10th Annual Golf Day at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club

The Board of Directors of IFSC Trust want to express a massive “Thank You” to all those firms and players who participated and supported our fundraising outing at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on Monday 6th September.
It was a truly remarkable day of superb, high-scoring golf, sublime weather, and extraordinary generosity. Yes, the raffle contributed a staggering €5,000 so we now expect to generate a final profit of in excess of €30,000, all of which will go to worthy inner-city causes as our Charity is run on an entirely voluntary basis.
Without your team and team member's support on the day and the support of all our sponsors, this would not be possible. THANK YOU.
We also have to express our sincerest thanks to Dun Laoghaire Golf Club for the excellent BBQ enjoyed by everyone at the halfway stage and the superb condition of the course. All of this goes to help make the day enjoyable and successful and is greatly appreciated.
As for the golf, we had a total of 34 playing teams and for the second year in succession, the BNY Mellon team prevailed by the narrowest of margins (countback last 6) with a superb score of 97 Points followed by RSM Ireland in 2nd, also with 97 points. Matheson was in 3rd place, with 94 points squeezing out Octium Life 1 in 4th with a better back 9, while Carne Group came in 5th with 93 points.

The Trust was delighted to support St Vincent's Girl's National School, North Strand with a €5k grant to refurbish the school kitchen, named after former pupil Kelli Harrington, Ireland's boxing World Champion and Olympic gold medal winner.
St. Andrews supports the inner city community at all stages of the life cycle from childcare provision through youth programmes, adult education, employment preparation, home help and a Day Centre for the elderly.
Just before Christmas, Niall Murray Trust Director, presented a cheque for €7,500, to finance a sensory room at St. Joseph's Primary School, Marino.

The development of Sensory Spaces within schools was identified as an important area for investment by the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) in 2021.
The Trust has supported East Wall Youth Club to assist the provision of educational support in their locality, for many years.
The Trust was delighted to part fund an important redevelopment project which enabled Barnardo’s Child Bereavement service transform the back yard at Buckingham Street into a therapeutic community space for children, families and adults experiencing trauma and grief.
The Trust has received a number of applications in the recent years from schools in the inner city seeking support to fund the development of Sensory spaces for children with special educational needs.
The Sean Mc Dermott Taekwondo martial arts school was established by Master Christy Fagan in 1973 and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.
