The Trust was delighted to part fund an important redevelopment project which enabled Barnardo’s Child Bereavement service transform the back yard at Buckingham Street into a therapeutic community space for children, families and adults experiencing trauma and grief.

Barnardo’s Children’s Bereavement Service supports parents and carers to respond to the needs of  bereaved children, while also providing direct therapeutic support to the child or children. Each year they work with 170+ families.  The garden now provides a new specially designed sensory area, boasting tress shrubs & greenery and  a small play area plus a relaxation zone.
