The Trust held its 9th Annual Golf Day at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on Monday 7th September, 2020 in conjunction with the IFSC Golf Society. Many thanks in particular to all our main Sponsors: Apex, Avolon, Bank of Ireland, BNP Paribas, KPMG, State Street, Ulster Bank and Vistra.

The Trust is delighted the Annual Golf Outing continues to be extremely well supported by IFSC’s community. We were especially relieved to be able to hold the competition this year, in view of the Covid restrictions which applied for much of 2020.

The competition is a core part of our funding strategy and generates much needed finance for the under-privileged in the Inner City. This year the competition raised over €25,000 for worthy causes. Thanks to all our supporters.

Twenty-four teams participated on the day. BNY Mellon were worthy winners of the competition with a superb score of 91 points, followed by Octium Life’s first team with a score of 88, Eisner Amper were in third place (86) and Avolon coming in fourth with 85 points on a count-back.

Because of Covid, the format changed from the usual shot-gun start, and was instead played over two 9’s with play commencing at the same time on both. As usual Dun Laoghaire GC catering produced a superb BBQ at the half way stage, providing sustenance and encouragement for the second 9. The weather was again our friend and we had a rain-free day.

Special thanks to our own David MacNeice for offering an Art Commission, as first prize in the raffle won by Adrian Kelly. David’s work can be found on his website  https://davidmacneice.com/

We look forward to your continuing support for a decade of IFSC Annual Golf Outings, when he host the 10th Annual Golf Tournament later this year.
